The Milanese label La DoubleJ, founded by J.J. Martin in 2015, uses bold and unique patterns to create breathtaking womenswear for any occasion. The silk dresses, trousers and tops easily take you from sunrise to sunset and are therefore perfect for the modern, hard-working woman.
Los Angeles-born, but Milan-based journalist J.J. Martin started La DoubleJ as a shoppable online magazine, where fashion lovers could discover the finest vintage pieces. When she decided to use different vintage patterned fabrics to design one dress, she made the first step of turning her brand into a fashion and lifestyle label. Nowadays La DoubleJ offers printed womenswear collections as well as a homeware line with items such as ceramics, linens and glassware.

Martin’s 17 years of experience as an editor at different international fashion and interior magazines has resulted in her ability to discover hidden archives of vintage patterns at the Lake Como in Italy and turning these prints into a complete collection.
La DoubleJ by Pauw Amsterdam
The La DoubleJ collection at Pauw features mostly silk pieces: printed dresses and wide-leg trousers that can be worn during the day, but also as evening wear. The unique and bold prints come back in different styles and items: combine contrasting patterns for a daring ‘La DoubleJ-look’ or mix with plain items to give your outfit a pop of colour. Every piece is designed to wear on any occasion: wear your La DoubleJ treasure to the office, to a family lunch or to a dinner party.
La DoubleJ spring/summer 2022
For this season, La DoubleJ will continue to design pieces that are entirely made in Italy. Created from the glittering shores of Lake Como, this breathtaking collection consists of creations that are cheerful, colourful and true mood-boosters. Well-known models such as the Big Skirt and the Long and Sassy Dress have been supplemented with new, flowing blouses, printed flared trousers and the playful Choux Dress.
