Bontoni
The story behind the brand
With a limited number of pairs produced each year, Bontoni ensures that each creation retains its unique character, without compromise. Each shoe is a masterpiece that requires hundreds of precise hand stitches to achieve the perfect contour. The 'calzolaio' performs more than 300 complicated tasks, from stitching the leather to shaping and securing the top onto the last. After a rest period of at least 25 days, the master begins hand-stitching the welt. The secret of the remarkable appearance and comfort of Bontoni shoes lies in the exclusive selection of leathers, which have been carefully checked. The finishing is an art in itself, with a spectrum of colors ranging from vibrant 'melanzana' to rich burgundy, with each pair colored by hand. The sole receives equal attention to craftsmanship and aesthetics, with naturally tanned leather being carefully cut, colored and waxed.
