A pleated skirt is a true keeper within the Pauw Amsterdam collections. This versatile design is available in different types of pleats and lengths: from just above the knee till floor length and everything in between. Most of the pleated skirts are crafted from pure wool or cotton, but a silk blend will also work well.
It is a classic that you can literally wear from sunrise to sunset and can easily be dressed up and down. One of our favourite casual ways to wear a pleated skirt is with a soft cashmere knit and plain, leather sneakers or chunky boots. For a more polished look, we combine the pleated skirt with a poplin cotton or silk shirt, statement jewellery and high heels.
Within our own collection we have a few key designs: the pleated maxi skirt, the pleated wrap skirt and the asymmetric pleated skirt. The structure and tactility of a fabric can make a world of difference. Every season we reinvent our classics and play with different kind of fabrics, constructions, lengths, silhouettes and types of pleats.
