Butter soft off-shoulder top by Pauw Amsterdam
All designs in the Pauw Amsterdam collection are subjected to the precise and extensive eye of Madeleine Pauw. Her craftsmanship emerged from a deeply rooted passion to create the perfect balance between the fit, design and fabric.
The design process of every piece starts with choosing the fabric, after which the pattern is made. An item will only go into production after being adjusted to the millimeter for five or six times, which results in extraordinary silhouettes that are flattering for every woman.

Dries van Noten
As one of the influential ‘Antwerp Six’ design collective, Dries van Noten is praised for his forward-thinking way to combine different fabrics and prints. The art of couture, of creating, is at the fundament of every collection he designs. Even though he uses modern technology to develop innovative fabrics and shocking prints, it still refers to the traditional craftsmanship concept of making something beautiful.
Van Noten works with craftsmen based in Kolkata, India, who often add a personal touch to the items they make by hand. ‘’There is always still something that you feel is a personal addition – that is their craft. This is really something we wanted to keep alive,’’ according to the designer.
